Welcome to Honeylocust Homestead!!

Honeylocust Homestead, built in 1871, has been in our family for 72 years! This land has many tales to tell. We are a family run Homestead specializing in a wide variety of things from Arts to Animals, a Nature Reserve and much, much more. Please check back in here periodically or sign up for the blog as there is so much I’d love to share with you yet to come….

Our Vision…

As the 4th generation on this land, this is our heritage and with it comes the passion and drive to return our farm to a modernized and regenerative version of what it was 72 years ago. We aim to restore the orchard with a food forest and the livestock with heritage breeds, for their pure, slow growing but healthier meats. With keeping our animals happy and healthy we can take pride that they will provide us and our community with the same health and wellbeing.

To live and farm in harmony with nature supporting the highest level of bio-diversity possible. To grow healthy foods on biologically rich soils to support ourselves, family, friends and community. To work with Mother Nature rather than against her.

Beyond Farmgate we greatly value our relationships within the local community. It is important to us to keep both our spending and sales relationships close to home. We strive to have our customer relationships grow beyond being simply transactional, allowing us to have the chance of connecting as well as educating when and where possible. We want to help people learn where their food comes from and what diverse ecological farming can do for their health, the health of the land, the livestock and ultimately the health of our planet. We want the community to be able to be in touch with its farming roots and learn that a connection to the land and the animals is as important as a daily exercise routine.

Regeneration is why we do what we do. We are looking to regenerate mind, body, soul and land. Regenerating the mind with a peaceful connection to the earth, the body through healthy food and practices, the soul through reconnecting with our roots and the land through ecological farming and providing our community with healthy food for a healthy today and tomorrow.
